Fall is getting close – bringing brighter leaves, cooler temperatures and drier air for many of us. You don’t need to do a complete 180* on your skincare, but here are a few changes that can ease the transition and prolong that summer glow.
Dial back on your retinoid. If you’ve been using Retin-A or over the counter Retinol you may want to reduce it to every other night.
Choose a more effective moisturizer. Ingredients to seek out are hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or avocado oil.
Consider chemical peels. Gently exfoliating the skin with lactic, phytic or kojic acid stimulates the repair of skin cells, peels away summer sun damage and helps keep your skin vibrant.
Lastly, now is the time to think about repair! Antioxidants and rx brightening cream can improve brown spots, Botox can get rid of those pesky crows feet that developed from forgetting your sunglasses at home too many times, and now is the time to check any new spots that came up over the summer!
